The theme for this week is current and future goals, so the title is naturally very appropriate, haha. Just kidding. I feel like the previous weeks were very reflective and quite frankly a little bit uncomfortable for me, especially when it came to the things I am proud of about myself. If I’m being honest, it was quite the struggle to come up with the little things I eventually came up with, but I think that’s the whole point of this challenge. It is meant to make you think and reflect on yourself, but there was just something about that challenge, trying to drudge up what I’m proud of myself for, I struggled with. I know that it’s because in a lot of ways I’m really disappointed in myself, especially when it comes to school and work. I can’t even think about it without that feeling of disappointment being associated with it. But the great thing about this challenge is it makes you reflect on things and move forward in a much more positive way by learning and growing from your lists… if you choose :) I choose to.
Anyway, like I said this week’s challenge is “Your Current and Future Goals and Dreams”. When I think what those things are, it’s a little overwhelming. Like it’s A LOT, haha. However, I have my whole life to accomplish and make them come true so I’ll just take them a step at a time. Here goes:

- Travel! Everywhere and anywhere.
- Lead a happy loving life
- Love myself
- Experience a life changing romance; fall in love, be in love, stay in love (I want to experience every stage of love, but I’m not a fan of Valentines day, haha)
- Get a degree
- Study abroad
- Learn several languages (Korean, French, German, Farsi… anything)
- Open and run a successful online boutique
- Own my own home

- Design my dream home in the mountains
- Have a bountiful garden to share with my family
- Have a wonderful YouTube channel
- Get a tripod
- Learn more about HTML and CSS (I know enough for myself but I need more to achieve the next goal)
- Design blog templates
- Volunteer on a regular basis
- Become a diplomat/ambassador (seriously, this is my dream job)
- Give blood
- Teach English in Korea for as long as I love it
- Intern at United Nations

- Intern at a Canadian Embassy
- Make healthier food choices
- Reach my goal weight (not necessary, but I would just love to be and feel healthy and strong)
- Improve my blog content
- Grow my blog responsibly
- Volunteer/Missions trips to third world and developing nations
- Make lifelong friends and nurture relationships
- Be more optimistic
- Encourage others
- Write more
- Be more outgoing
- Go rock climbing
- Go horseback riding
- Go canoeing
- Try rowing!

- Be more active with fun activities
- Go camping
- Get on the deans list
- Get scholarships
- Be a Rhodes scholar (Eep!)
- Give love
- Speak with love and kindness
- Save a life
- Be a mentor
- Make a difference
Phew, that was a lot more than I intend and there’s still some more things I’d like to list, but I’ll just save it for myself, hehe. What are some of your goals and dreams? I hope you guys have a lovely evening!

You have a lot of great things on this list! I've been meaning to buy a tripod as well! blogging is a great platform for a lot of the things you aim to do in the future--someone's on the right track, here! p.s. you've probably seen my list--but one goal i forgot to add was VISIT CANADA! my best friend from 7th grade lives in Montreal & it would be great to visit up there one day!
ReplyDeleteMontreal is so much FUN! There's like a million places to go and I love the little neighborhoods. There's so many places I wish I had the chance to go to while I was there like I hear Mont Royal is a really great for food and the park. I have a friend that lives there and she went snow shoeing!
Deletesweet list! thank you for sharing your inspirational list. I hope you can accomplish them :) I especially love the romance part. I'd like to experience one as well!
ReplyDeleteThank you! I hope I can accomplish them too, there's quite a bit more to add to that list but it'll do for now, haha. Me too! I think everyone should experience that all encompassing BIG romance, you know? It's essential, haha. I'm just waiting for mine to come along.
Deletewhat a great list!! and so great to right down all your goals and dreams! I love the love yourself one, and to try new activities! (thanks for the sweet comment on my blog yesterday - nice to meet you!)
ReplyDeleteThanks! I think it's an important part of the even having any kind of goals or dreams to write them down. It's like an affirmation, haha. I'm excited to try some of those outdoor sports this year, like kayaking or rowing! Just thinking about it got me so excited, haha. Loving yourself is harder than loving someone else because we are so quick to criticize or judge ourselves, so I'm working on that one, haha. You're very welcome! I'm happy to have met you too :) And thanks for stopping by!
DeleteVery inspirational list! I believe you can do these :)
ReplyDeletePS: I left a response to your comment on my blog! :)

Thank you! I hope I can! I really want to travel more so that's pretty high in my books. It's just provides such a different experience, interacting and learning about different cultures and countries. It's one of those things I NEED to do, haha.
DeleteThis is such a great list! I hope you manage to achieve them all. I love the make a difference one, and be more optimistic, I need to remember that at the moment! Just found you through the Totally Awesome Blog Hop - so glad I did xo
ReplyDeleteThank you for stopping! I think those goals take some thought and creativity, haha. I don't know how I'll do it yet, but it's something I would love to achieve in some small way. Being more optimistic is a toughie, it's too easy to be negative, it should be just as easy to be positive so I'm trying it.
DeleteThis is a fun list, I like it! I wouldn't mind doing some of these myself! I've always wanted to intern (or work, I wish!) at the United Nations. When I was in Geneva a few years ago I went and had a look at that headquarters - dream job!!!!
ReplyDeleteThanks for stopping by my blog, have a lovely day :)
Me too! I would love to visit there one day. The UN is like.. world order I feel like. I know, I'm such a goof but I plan on majoring in this stuff (poli sci, international relations/peace conflict), so it's allowed, haha. Thank you for returning the visit!
DeleteHello Elle, I found your blog through the Hop, what a great post! I love Paris so much, I think one of my goals would have to be to go back there soon. That picture made me sigh and remember how much I adore it.
ReplyDeleteHappy to be following along xx
Kate
Just Pirouette and Carry On...
Haha, Paris has that affect on everyone. There's just something about those streets, the pastries, that incredible fashion and stunning architecture... it is just love. I'm happy you found me! Thanks for stopping by!
Deleteall those dishes in the "eat healthy" image is making my mouth water! lol!
ReplyDeletei wanted to pop over and answer your question re: the hidden gfc on 'my dear watson'. if you would prefer to use gfc it is located at the bottom of the main page. gfc makes my life much easier. =) looking forward to getting to know each other.
Awesome! Following now! I'm such a creature of habit, like when I get up in the morning I check my emails then immediately go into my Google Reader and go through every blog on my list and go through new posts. I don't even really need to watch the news because of Google Reader, my favourite news station is in my Reader, hahah! Thank you so much for taking the time make sure I found it, I appreciate it and thanks for stopping by!
Deletei do the same thing! creature of habit twins! =)
DeleteLOL seriously, and like it's not even that I have to type in the Google Reader website, I changed my settings in Google Chrome so that when I open the browser Google Reader, GMAIL, and a Google search tab opens up, haha. It's awesome, haha. I can tell you how if you want hehe
Deletealready ahead of you! ;)
